Blessed Beyond Expectation: A Successful Luncheon for St. Sava Monastery

This past Sunday, April 26, 2026, our parish family gathered at the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral for a beautiful and meaningful day dedicated to the completion of the St. Mardarije Center.

We were truly blessed to have His Grace Bishop Serafim preside over the Divine Liturgy. During the service, he delivered a moving sermon, and later, he provided an insightful presentation in the church hall regarding the progress and the vital goals for the completion of the St. Mardarije Center. With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Longin, Bishop Serafim is leading the efforts of this important project.

An Overwhelming Response of Faith

Despite many of our families traveling to Canada for the folklore festival that weekend, we were moved by the meaningful presence of those who joined us, which truly showed the commitment of our parish family. Because of your incredible generosity, we are humbled to share that we not only met our $50,000 goal but surpassed it, reaching a total of $75,000!

To Our Donors and Supporters

We extend our deepest gratitude to every single person who contributed. Whether you attended the luncheon, sent a donation, or supported this cause through your prayers, your faith and love have made this victory possible. These funds will go directly toward the final stages of the St. Mardarije Center, building a lasting spiritual home for generations to come.

A Celebration of Community

The afternoon was filled with purpose, music, and unity. We want to share our deepest gratitude:

  • To our wonderful performers: SSS Branko Radichevich (our Cathedral choir) and the Brankici children’s choir, both masterfully directed by Jelena Stojakovic.
  • To our guest musicians: Dr. Dejan Glisovic (guitar) and Marija Bubanja (violin), whose talents added such beauty to the event.
  • A special thank you to the SSS Branko Radichevich for their extraordinary commitment; during the luncheon, Choir Board President Denise Trylovich presented a generous $5,000 donation to Bishop Serafim on behalf of the choir!

📸 Relive the day: A heartfelt thank you to Milan “Krle27” of 27 Photography for capturing the spirit of our community so beautifully.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this success. Your faith and love are building a legacy!
